Site Planning Software for Concrete Print

INSTATIQ prints concrete walls on site. We built a Rhino plugin to help its team plan robot placement and organise each site.

Overview

Challenge

Planning prints relied on time-consuming manual checks and scattered tools.

What We Built

One tool for planning robot locations and dividing projects into printable sections, with model checks built in.

The Work

The work grew from Grasshopper prototypes into a complete plugin, built from scratch. Project setup and model management bring the team’s separate tools into one place.

Background model checks show where robots can be placed and what they can reach, helping the team compare site layouts.

Results

  • Less time spent preparing each design.
  • Lower risk of mistakes.
  • Easier comparison of options, helping the team plan better and use fewer resources.
