3DP Live/Simulation Visualizer

We built a visualizer that lets RCT follow the live print, preview what comes next, and count down to steps that need manual intervention.

Overview

Challenge

During planning and on site, RCT needed a clear view of the print sequence so the team could see what was coming next and prepare for manual operations.

What We Built

We built a visualizer with video player controls that lets the team follow the print in real time, replay what was just printed, or simulate what comes next—all while printing continues.

The Work

We developed the visualizer as a Rhino plugin in C#, with playback controls embedded directly in the viewport. Operators can follow and simulate the print within their actual 3D model environment. The same controls support planning before printing begins.

We built the tool end to end, with weekly feedback and alignment with RCT’s team.
